Time Travelers House

I did a quick speedpainting of the Time Travelers house. I was thinking he could have brass/copper spokes and tubes coming out every which way, failed inventions, etc. What do you think of the colors? Warmer? Cooler? I'll do a few more this weekend.

  1. Well I'm definitely loving the atmosphere and the mood. Maybe you should try warmer colors. I feel that warm colors elicit more of that old Victorian lithograph look. Sweet job though. Definitely looking forward to seeing more

  2. Oh man! I am totally blown away! Now I don't want to submit my own pathetic color keys. : P

I'm really liking the bells and whistles everywhere, especially the tubes on the ground. Also, the addition of wildflowers is a nice way to balance out the colors- I didn't even think of that!

It's the overall tone I am going for, but we can play with levels to see if there is anything that might work better... but I really think it's hit the nail on the head! I think the sky can be made a little smoother though. I won't want to give the impression of impending doom. It's not very doom laden here, but it's verging on ominous.

Man, I didn't have a chance to post last night when i saw this, but I was so giddy with excitement. This is so awesome!!!
